The battery in my 2007 Road Glide finally bit the dust, so I went to my local tire and battery place and bought one that they carry. No dice and had to take it back as it wouldn't hold a charge. Returned it for a replacement and the same thing happened with the second one, so I decided to go another route and hit up Amazon to see what they had. After a ton of research, I settled on this battery, the Deka AGM, and I was not disappointed. In fact, the cold weather has set in here in the Inland Northwest and I hadn't started the bike for a few weeks and decided I would crank her up and get the fluids running through. Harleys are notorious for being hard to start when cold, but this battery did a great job and the old girl fired up after a little hesitation. I will definitely be buying another one when the time comes.
1998 95th Anniv Ultra Classic. Perfect fit, charged it overnight before installing. Came with a plastic base spacer that is not needed in this model. I've had it for about a month, have kept it on a maintainer and it has done three 30° temperature starts no problem the engine turns right over. This is the same manufacturer that makes the Harley batteries and it is identical to the one I actually looked at at the Harley dealer but about $80 cheaper. Don't think about it just buy it if you're in need have a great battery.
The battery was well packed but arrived one week late even though it was shipped the very next day after I ordered it. It was not the sellers fault, it was the shipper who messed up. Nonetheless when it arrived I did a battery check and it was 100%. Kudos to the seller!
I have been using Deka batteries on my 1997 and 2008 Harleys for a long time. Always keep them on a tender when not riding (Noco Genius 1 amp works great, around $25 on Prime days) and still have to replace them every 3-4 years, but Deka AGM batteries have served me well in the hot Florida climate.
Ordered this DEKA battery for my 09 Road King 96ci. Delivered by Postal Service. Came priority in 3 days cross country. Packaged well. I topped off with charger and installed. Spun the motor well. Need that 400cca for the big twin. Got 4 years on my last DEKA. It was just getting a little slow. Hope to do the same with this one.
Was exactly what I ordered-the same Deka battery I removed had lasted in my motorcycle 8 years. The battery was manufactured 7 months prior to my purchase. Very quick shipping, so the seller provided good merchandise, shipped it quickly. The box indicated rough handling by FEDEX-thankfully, I found no damage to the battery.
